When asked what they wanted to do when they grew up, Megan Gwyn had one answer: perform. It only made sense. Megan was raised by two Ice Capades alum and there was never any doubt that the entertaining bug was a family trait. However, Megan had no desire to be a figure skater like their parents. They wanted to forge their own path as a performer and knew exactly where they really belonged. Besides, being on stage required a lot less falling than the ice.

Megan was born just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, and was raised by the only two ice rinks that existed in the Charlotte area. After years of skating lessons, Megan finally admitted skating wasn’t their style and decided the stage would be much more their speed. They performed in all their middle school productions and went to the local magnet high school, Central Academy of Technology and Arts, and had specialized studies in theater there.

In May of 2020, Megan graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Hartford-The Hartt School. They have a love for all types of theater and film, but they have a particular passion for Shakespeare’s works.

Megan is now based out of Astoria, NY.
